Arrival Story:
I'm a member of the Appalachian SPCA. My cousin was fostering Scotty, he had been in a high kill shelter. Poor baby had been starved, he was so skinny and had some stomach issues. My cousin called me and asked if I would foster him, because our shelter was getting ready to put down a bunch of dogs, and she needed some space at her house for some dogs. Well, being the Schnauzer lover that I am, I couldn't refuse. I took him in and fell in love! He fit in so well with Max and Maggie, and was so happy at our house, I just couldn't bear to send him to another home.

We have had company for 2 weeks. Momma was really worried because one of our visitors is a baby. She didn't know how we would react, especially me, since I haven't been around here very long. The baby crawls and cruises around the furniture. Crazy Max and Maggie don't like the baby and have snapped several times at him, that's when my protector mode kicked in!!! I love the little guy, when he crawls I just go along beside him and smile....he is awful cute. When Max & Maggie get near him, I grab them and growl and get them away from him. He is alot of fun, when he eats he drops good stuff and he smells good too, I love to give him a big lick in the face! Momma says tomorrow they are leaving....I'm really gonna miss him.

I was so surprised when I found out that little ole me was Schnauzer of the Week on Schnauzers Rule today!! Everybody was sending me zealies and congratulating me and everything! It made me feel so special. Just what would my old friends think in the Powell county animal shelter....(that's where I came from) Not to mention my old owners that dropped me off there, like I didn't matter at all. I wish they could see me now!! I think this week sounds like lots of fun.
