Sun Sign: Quick Bio:
 Birthday: October 31st 1997
Likes: Her family coming home and being let inside with everyone else.

Pet-Peeves: Being made to stay on your lap when she wants to get down (she'll bring out the big guns i.e. fart just to get away).

Favorite Toy: whatever's handy - slippers, a crushed coke bottle, hair clips and squeaky toys.

Favorite Food: whatever the hell you're eating, none of the green stuff.

Favorite Walk: the beach, anywhere outdoors or new is great .

Best Tricks: sitting, drooling for food, peeing on command, being a sticky beak and generally being lovable.

Arrival Story: When I was 12 years old my mother took me to the RSPCA to reward me for my academic awards at school by getting me a dog. When we got there we saw a sign saying that dogs were not for sale which we mistook for meaning they wouldn't rehouse them when in retrospect it probably meant they were only adopted and not bought. So we headed to our closest pet shop where we found Sasha the sweetest little black pup and the last of her litter. It was love at first sight and I new immediately I wanted her.

Bio: When we bought her the shop keeper switched around the display cards a few times saying that they were on the wrong cages so we're still a bit suspicious as to her lineage. She was sold to us as a cattle dog x tibetan spaniel however she's quite a medium size dog (23kg), medium length in hair, a fierce guardian and not at all a lap dog so we sometimes question the tibetan spaniel part. We readily believe the cattle dog part because she's predominantly been an energetic dog who probably would have benefitted from having 'work' to do but also cause of her spotty 'blue merle' displayed on her chest and socks. She was hit by a car when about 2 years old and had a bit of shock but was overall ok - started to suffer from a bit of arthritis now and again after that which has increased in the last year or two (ages 11-12).
She used to be a bit mischevious, not liking being left at home by herself when we went to school she would pull the washing off the line or dig her way out of the backyard but she out grew that quite easily. We didn't take her to puppy preschool but I tought her the basics and because we didn't know about positive reinforcement training she would get a smack now and then for barking or the like. Luckily she was a dog who could respond well to it and learn her lesson rather than cowering. She's never cowered in her life.
She's ridiculously confident and intelligent - to the point where sometimes you can see the cogs in her mind working. She's very attached to her family and once she knows who you are and she's become familiar with you, you're one of her people. She's never paid too much attention to children, I feel she understands what they are and therefore she tends not to listen to them cause they're not the boss. On the other hand she's never been aggressive to them at all - she just a bit aloof. In going with the boss theme she seems to respond well to big men with deeper voices but at the end of the day she'll always be my puppy. I'm the one who knows how all the games work and I will be the first one to let her inside.
In recent years, as she's gotten older and wiser she's become more complacent about things like being put outside but also displaying a bit of wiles and outsmarting us every once in a while.

Forums Motto: Don't catch food that smells like veges.
