Likes:
FOOD!!!!!!! EATING!!!!!! Also, walks.

Pet-Peeves:
Anything grooming: brushing, teeth brushing, ear cleaning, nail clipping. Also, outerwear (sweater, booties, etc.). I don't know why my human thinks I need booties in the snow!

Favorite Toy:
Tiny Kong stuffed with FOOD!!!!!!!! I have also recently enjoyed a tiny Nylabone. Bacon-flavored is best.

Favorite Food:
ALL!!!!!!!!!!! But, sadly, my human only lets me eat Bil Jac and other dog-oriented foods

Favorite Walk:
Anywhere: its best when its not icy or too snowy because then my human is less grumpy.

Best Tricks:
Sit, come, go potty/poop, down, stand, get off, let's go. Now we are working on place. We are taking a thing my human calls "obedience class" now, so be on the lookout for updates. I don't think I will ever understand stay, though

Arrival Story:
I was happily living a life of luxury -- 20 hour/day naps, lots of petting, and a daily walk. But then something really sad happened-- my human died. I was sooooooo sad and whined all of the time and missed her so much, even when I came to my foster home to live with Nancy and John and Lucy and Flirt and Schatzi and Trudy. Slowly I started to get happy again because my foster home was so filled with love! Then, one day, I was visited by a person who had heard about me from a friend of hers who knew my foster mom, Nancy. She petted me a lot, and then I had a doggie slumber party with her at her friend's house. We went to her house the next day, and I have been living there ever since. Now she and I have lived in Minnesota, DeKalb, and Chicago together.

Forums Motto:
I'm a terribly dashing daschund.

The Memoir of Lord Chillinham von Maximillian

I am king of the pool

Dear Diary,

I can't believe I have been so neglectful, and not written in so long. I have been a busy pup lately, though. This summer, I lived with my human grandpa for a month because my person was "out of the country," whatever that means. Then, my human and I moved to Illinois just a few weeks after. As a lifelong Minnesotan, this was a bit worrisome for me. But aside from all of the TV and radio station call letters beginning with "W" rather than "K", and it getting darker earlier because Ill-i-nwah is futher east in CST, I think it is just fine here. I get to go to doggie day care with all of these giant pups, and I get really tired out. How fun!

I visited my in-person friend Crazy Mavis last weekend because now that we are in Illinwah, we live close to her. She and her person took me and my person to the swimming pool. I wasn't very fond of the water (too much like a bath -- blech), but I did like running around in the grass next to the sand volleyball courts. Once I found a nice spot on the hill there after I was done running, any big dog that tried to get in my spot got a loud barking to and a poke from my snout. Am I ever fierce. Woof woof! Aruuuuuu!

The pros and cons of Minnesota winters

Pros: space heater, too cold for baths, snow-really fun to play in

Cons: icy sidewalks, too cold for walks, snow-really cold

An in-person friend!

I just wanted to give a shout out to Crazy Mavis. She is my dogster friend and in-person friend, too, because she let me and my person stay at her house in Illinois for a whole week this summer. It was fun -- especially because she doesn't like to eat her food, and, if noone was paying attention, I could get extra food! Yippeeeee! You go my friend, Crazy Mavis.
