Mom is still into thinking I should be a show dog. Well, there is a few problems with that. The major one, of course, is my coat. Powder puff Cresteds have LONG flowing hair. My hair all got cut off last fall, so it is not long yet. And, I have stains... being a white dog who runs and plays in the muck and mud is the pits when it comes to keeping my hair white. As you can probably tell from many of my photos, when my hair gets wet my feet and belly are pretty rusty colored. Soo, Mom bathed me EVERY SINGLE week with some special white shampoo. I didn't think I looked much whiter, and that stuff smelled just like bleach!!! Well, Mom bathed me last week with her regular old shampoo and suddenly, I was way, way whiter and my coat felt much softer and silkier. Sooo, Mom is thinking the special bleaching shampoo was washing all the natural oils and protectants off my coat and making it stain WORSE, not less.
The other problem is that I matt. Just one day after my bath I will already be getting matts all thru my coat. Mom is hoping it is because I am changing over from my puppy coat to my adult coat but she is not happy about it at all. She says she hopes she never misses a weekly bath cuz she will probably have to shave me!!! The handler guy AND the handler girl say my coat matts cuz Mom lets me race thru the snow and mud all the time. Well, sorry, I am a dog first and foremost!!!

I know about those rusty paws. Mine always bleach out in the summer from the pool - BOL!
