Wanted: Someone who will spoil me, pet me, and love my handsome, droopy face and my huge brown eyes!! If you have a nice soft bed, like to take nice easy walks and are looking for someone to love you unconditionally and be forever loyal then look no further.

About me: I'm a flashy fawn, down to earth, laid back boxer who is looking for his forever match. My favorite things are cuddling on the couch, listening to you tell me all about your day or your problems (I'm a great listener, I even cock my head side to side to show you I'm paying attention and I'm perfect at keeping secrets, I never ever tell). I'm really low maintenance. All I need is my food and water and some walks and potty breaks and tons of LOVE of course.

If any of this sounds like you, please get in touch. My name is Atticus and I'm a 6 and a half year old boxer. Look forward to hearing from you.

Side note: Atticus is a very low key, goofy, sweet older boxer boy. He's healthy except for some arthritis in his back which doesn't seem to bother him other than some stiffness sometimes. He is currently heartworm positive but started treatment 8-4-2010 and is tolerating the treatment very well so far. Hopefully in a few weeks he will be rid of the nasty HW's for good. He has kept his spirit up through everything since he's been with the rescue and is another perfect example of how resiliant and loving dogs are!! Anyone will be lucky to add him to their family. This guy maybe a little older but he's still in his prime and lovin' life and still very much enjoys getting out and doing and seeing things and meeting new dogs and people.

Hi everyone. Mom says it's "that time" again, meaning it's time to update everyone on ME hehehe. It's kind of a chore for me to type with my extra large paws (momma calls me Atty-Bear for a good reason). I've been having lots of fun here in my foster home and I have fur brothers and sisters to play with and I must brag a bit and say that I get along with everybody. My favorite thing is still to play tug with my foster mom and then if she lets me win I like to play keep away. I still make her laugh when I stand over the toy and do my play bow and bark when it won't move. I'm also very happy to report that I have gained some more weight and all of my gorgeous fur coat has grown back. I feel like a brand new boy and mom says I'm even more handsome if that's possible. I thought I was pretty darn good looking before.

*Squishy boxer kisses* Atty-Bear

Well now that Atty has had his say, I'll add my updates for everyone. For those of you who haven't met Atticus yet, this boy is a big beautiful flashy fawn with a classic boxer stance. Atticus is around 6 years old and is a very calm laid back boy for a boxer. He still has the boxer wiggle and greets you with front paw bounces when you get home. He loves to snuggle and gives some really great kisses. Atticus knows sit, wait, lay down, no, leave it and easy. He walks well on a leash and is great in the car. He loves to go out for walks or rides and instantly gets his boxer wiggles on if he sees you get a leash. He is completely house and crate trained. If anyone is looking for a super handsome, laid back boxer companion then you need to meet Atticus so get an application in soon.

Pssst....over here! Now that I have your attention, please allow me to introduce myself. My friends call me Atticus - I'm a 6 year old, flashy fawn with natural ears and a docked tail. I just came from a shelter, where I was really depressed and had stopped eating. Since I stopped eating, mom's main mission is to get me to eat. I talked her into holding my food bowl while I eat - I'm already spoiled! I'm house-trained and I'll go in my room (crate) but it's not my favorite place. I prefer to be around people and other dogs. I also like to play in the yard and play with toys. A man could get used to living in the house and having a nice cushioned bed to sleep on. Mom told me that I have been neutered and have all my shots but that I have something called heartworms. The rescue is going to help me get well so I can find my "fur"ever home. Mom said that you should hurry and get your application in b/c people will be lining up to adopt me since I'm such a handsome hunk with squishy jowls. Hope to meet you soon, Atticus!
