Arrival Story:
One winter night, my mom and son heard a crying noise comming from under a storage building. After searching for an hour, they found a tiny puppy about 3 weeks old. No mom or litter mates around. We took him in and bottle fed him. Two days later, we heard more crying and found 3 more pups under mom's house. We left them alone. The next day, they were gone, or so we thought. Later that day, we found the whole litter and the mom across the road in some brush. She had been moving them around. We caught the mom and gathered up the pups and moved them all to a warm location, but she would have nothing to do with the first little runt we had found. She had purposely abandoned him because she couldn't care for all of them. Chip had to be bottled fed till weaned and was never able to re-unite with his litter mates. After the pups were weaned, we found homes for them all, and the mother just disapeared, never to be seen again. We couldn't part with chip so he became a permanant part of our family.

Bio:
Chip is the most obediant dog I have ever seen. He is so desperate to please. In this pic, he looks so sad behind the "jail bars" of the fence. But don't pitty him...there are several ways out, but he knows better, so he stays inside!! :-) Candy the cat likes to go in and play with him, rub against him, ect, then go under the fence and meow for him to follow. You can see in his eyes he wants too, but he doesn't. He loves when Candy comes in and plays with him! 11/4/05 Chip was hit by a car today. It was very hard to say good bye to him. He will always be a part of my heart. The quilt I am feeling right now is overpowering. Lately, he had been getting out of the fence. I should have fixed that fence!
