Being loved on!

When my brother, Herkie, won't play with me!

Favorite Toy:
I love ALL my toys, but my monkey George is my favorite (even though he only has one leg and one arm now)!

Favorite Food:
I eat Pro Plan (Mommie and Daddy say it's good for me) but I LOVE treats (or anything that accidentally falls on the floor)!

Favorite Walk:
I love to walk all around the neighborhood with Mommie and brother!

Best Tricks:
Walking on my hind legs, Standing on my hind legs and spinning in a circle, Giving High Fives (for some reason these things seem to amuse my people)!

Arrival Story:
My Daddy wanted a dog really badly, but Mommie is allergic and didn't like the idea of one in the house. Daddy had his heart set on getting a yellow lab. Luckily, one day Mommie was looking at and came across my picture. Mommy says there was something about me that let her know I was the one. She says my eyes seemed to be looking at her through the picture (I was trying hard to look my best). Mommie sent the picture to Daddy, and he thought I was cute too (even though I'm not a yellow lab-thank you Mommie). When my parents came to pick me up I'd just been spayed and had hernia surgery (which I did not appreciate by the way), so I was shaky (and nervous about meeting my new people too). I liked riding in the car but Mommie says I had my tail tucked between my legs the whole way home. When my new people opened the door to our house, I ran in and immediately began wagging my tail. I knew I was home (once I realized I wasn't going to get dumped again), and so did they! Mommie says I've been the most amazing, sweetest dog ever! I'm so glad she saw my picture and was drawn to me, she doesn't even care about those things she calls allergies anymore! She tells me she believes I was a gift from God, and He makes NO mistakes! :)

Mommie and Daddy don't know my whole history, but they know I was in a pound in Joplin, Missouri. I was rescued by oksaveadog in Oklahoma (thankfully...because I kept hearing people talk about something called euthanizing, and even though I didn't know what it was, I knew it was bad). I got adopted by a woman that returned me cause I had one accident in the house! Mommie says she didn't deserve me if she wasn't patient enough to let me adjust. I was just nervous! I had an accident my first day at my new home, and my new people didn't even get mad at me, they still wanted me! I am totally housebroken, I just needed to know where my bathroom was! I was back at oksaveadog for a week or so before my people got me, and I'm glad that other woman returned me, so I could be with people who love me no matter what. Mommie and Daddy say they are so thankful that oksaveadog rescued me! They say I have brought them so much joy in the short time they've had me! And to think, just a week earlier I thought no one would ever want me! Now I'm happy in my FOREVER home! :) Now that I've been with my people over a year, they got me a new brother, Herkie. I wasn't very happy at first, after all he is a big GSD, but I love him now!
