Arrival Story:
We've had experience with maremmas before though my grandparents, uncle and a few other relatives who have all had them. We thought Shep would enjoy having a companion, and when one of our friend offered us a pup from her litter of 13 we were happy to take one. Of course, choosing a pup out of the 13 available was VERY difficult. We already discarded the females (I wanted a female but dad wanted a male) so in the end the 4 of us were left each holding a male puppy. I was holding Indy and when we put them all down, he was the only one out of ALL the pups who didn't run for the food bowl when our friend bought it in. So, we ended up with Indy.

Indy is completely attached to Shep and always gives him a good sniffing over whenever he comes back from a drive. They are such a well matched pair, there's never any obvious signs of who's the more dominant personality. Rogue has shaken things up a bit though and after 3 weeks Indy has finally stopped growling at him every time he comes near.
