Arrival Story:
Susie's registerd name is "U-CD Susie's Southern Blue Rascal CDX". She was born near Greenville, South Carolina in 1992. I picked her out at 6 weeks of age, from a litter of six because she had the classic black & white markings with beautiful blue eyes, and she seemed calmer than her litter mates. She remained with her Mom and litter mates for several more weeks before I took her home. It was a wonderful day because I had been wishing and hoping to own a Siberian Husky for a long-long time, since being a child. I was looking for a candidate for obedience training. On the trip home (a 3-hr drive) Susie started making a fuss in her crate, whining and carrying on. I took her in my lap and she was as good as gold; quickly falling asleep for the rest of the trip home! She had me trained right away! I had alot to learn about siberian huskies from then on, but it has been a wonderful trip.

Bio:
Susie2 is presently enjoying her "senior" years, having had lots of adventures and traveling in her younger days. She has a rather laid-back personality, therefore was a good candidate for obedience traiing as a puppy. She earned her 1st qualifying obedience score in the Novice ring when only 11 months old! She earned both the AKC-CD and CDX titles, a CGC, and a U-CD obedience title. Today she would much rather sleep 12 hours a day, and enjoy the comforts of a warm bed and being the #1 dog at meal time. December 2011 A number of years have passed since I last added some comments here. I now live in Florida. Christmas is just 2 weeks away. The weather is very nice with warm sunny days and cool evenings. Susie2 - my "special" companion, passed over the rainbow bridge on March 25, 2007 while I was still living in Connecticut. I will always have wonderful memories of the day I brought Susie2 home as an 8-week old puppy in South Carolina. The next (almost) 15 years passed much too quickley. We had many adventures together. Susie2 - my blue-eyed Siberian Husky - will always be the pet I loved more than any other, and I will always cherish the years we spent together.

Time to review the past year and my thoughts of you - Susie2.
You are always in my mind - forever.
I still miss you every day but thank God I have many many photos of from years' past. You were a "special one" to me in so many ways.

This year we have moved back to Florida to be near my Dad.
We are now closer to your home state of South Carolina where you were born in 1992. We hope to visit South Carolina in 2010 and the place where you spent your puppy years.
May you rest in peace this Christmas - your memory will never die as long as I survive. Katie is now almost 11 years old. She's a good dog too, but not as "special" as you were.
Just wanted you to know I haven't forgotten and you will be remembered by all on Christmas Day.

Two days after Valentine's Day 2009. Snow finally melting here in New England. It has been a really cold, snowy winter. Susie2 - you would have enjoyed sniffing the cold air and feeling the winter winds ruffle your soft fur.
I will miss your presence forever, but feel thankful you came into my life and were with me for almost 15 years.
Now I should put Katie-dude on Dogster. She just celebrated her 1oth birthday last month - January 12th, 209. Katie-dude is also a Siberian Husky - you knew her well. Must go now. Hope you are looking down on me. I send you hugs and kisses. I know you are in doggy heaven.
Love, MOM

October 13, 2007..
It has been more than 6 months since Susie2 passed over the "rainbow bridge" and I find I still miss her presence so very much. She was such a special companion to me, as she was the FIRST siberian husky I owned. The dog I wanted for so many, many years and my wish finally came true. Susie2 will forever live in my heart, in my dreams, and my in memories of good things that happened. Now I need to put Katie (the "Dude") on Dogster - my second siberian husky who is now 8 years old. She is so very different from Susie2 - more like the typical husky breed with a desire to run and pull, and play with other dogs whenever she can. A good girl too, just different, and more independent than my Susie2 was. Katie could be happy almost anywhere, Susie2 was more dependent upon me and looked to me as her protector and "Mom" Well, that's all for today. I'll check back from time to time....as the memories call me here.
