Birthday: June 27th 2000 Likes: Being with his core pack, Extended walks (not in the cold!), Snuggling Pet-Peeves: "No", When Daddy leaves for work Favorite Toy: His Newest Favorite Food: Greenies, Chicken Tenders Favorite Walk: Bike Path Best Tricks: Sing, "Ven Aqui" (Come Here), "Muerte" (Play Dead), "Cinco" (High Five) Arrival Story: My husband (boyfriend at the time) always said "If you bring home a dog, you are leaving." After my childhood doxies (my parents had "custody") died, I visited the petstore often...just to get doggie attention. One day there was a Corgie I wanted to cuddle but he was sleeping and I didn't want to bother him. We left and then came back later in hopes that the Corgi would be awake. He wasn't awake but little Ese was so we got him out for a play session. After a few minutes, my husband asked "Do you want him?" I thought that was the meanest joke ever. My slight pause was enough to make him reconsider and he said we should go home and think about it. We did. The next thing you know, we were driving back to the petstore and starting the best time of our lives. Bio: Little Ese was a tiring puppy. Nothing held his interest for even five whole minutes. But he was a good boy too. He learned to love his "casita" (crate). He loved walks and running from day 1. He charmed the neighborhood. After a couple of years, we decided he would be a great big brother and he is! On June 27th, 2000, the world was blessed...with me! On June 26th, 2005, there was a birthday party in my honor. There was a lot of food for the humans and lots of special treats for us dogs. 11 of my Canine friends and 28 of my human friends came. We were able to raise some supplies and money for the Capital District Humane Association, my favorite charity. Oh, and only one burger was stolen (...that mom knows about...)
Please look on my sister's & my foster brother's pages for more party photos. The photos will only be up for the month of July.
1. This is the picture Mom and Dad put on the party invite. I swear they do this only to humilate me, I don't like it at all. (Well maybe just a little but they shouldn't show everyone like this!)
2. Mommy is holding me as the first of the guests arrive.
3. Here Julie & Mischka play by "Lake Chihuahua" with their Mommy and Daddy. Please note the Sombrereo balloon. Mom is Super-proud of this for some reason.
4. I got thirsty because it was really hot that day.
5. Taffy taunts his sister Max with cries of "Na, na, na, na-na you can't gt me!" Taunting sisters is cool! Go Taffy!
6. Mandy arrives dressed to the K-9's. She sure is beautiful. Mandy is a CDHA sucess story.
7. Lots of the humans gather around Lake Chihuahua to see Oreo go for a swim.
8. Ripley inspects some of the decorations. She gave them two paws up.
9. This is Dixie. Her and her sister live down the street. We've been buds since they've been little pups.
10. Here I am resting after the party. It was super-fun. BTW, my wish was that next year I get another party.
I love spring...there are so many new things to bark at and about. Mommy takes us outside every day to help with "sprucing up" the gardens though I don't know why she calls it that she hasn't planted one pine tree! Silly Mommy once again.
Anyway, it's super-fun. At first it is a little chilly so I have to lay in the sun to warm up. After an hour or so of sun dogging, the schoolbus comes...we say "bye" to all the kiddies. Then it's time for more sun dogging. Usually after the mailwoman comes we go inside and get a bite for lunch. After lunch, we are warm enough to go and help Mommy from the shade. We help by letting her know when anyone comes into the hood. We have different barks for friends, strangers, cars and bikers. I "chase" special friends that drive by the side and behind the house. I can't see them through the fence but I knows that they appreciate my support. In the afternoon the schoolbus come by lots to let different sized kids off. After the bus comes by for the forth time, we have about a half hour before Daddy comes home and that means a Daddy-Come-home-TREAT! It's one of our favorite times of the whole day. Anyway just wanted to let ya'll know that spring has sprung here but; hopefully, you are too busy enjoying yourselves outside to even be reading this. If you are reading this and it is beautiful outside...GET OUT THERE!
Wow today was a really big day. We had a party with our new chihuahua MeetUp friends. If you live near the Capital District of NY, you can learn about our local MeetUp group here: www.chihuahua.meetup.com/75 We are a (right now) small group of chi owners that want an opportunity for our chis to be able to socialize with other chis. It was lots of fun.
Also, Mom and Dad brought home a new fosterdog, Stoli. This is the fourth doggie friend that we are helping find a forever home. Stoli is a miniature American Eskimo Dog. He is about three times our size so mom is making sure that everyone is playing nice. He is very fluffy, kind of like a new toy. He likes to bark, which is cool. Stoli stays outside FOREVER, he doesn't seem to get cold. And he loves to go on walks.
