Life has been so crazy lately with lots of new words. First I am taken away from my mother and put in a cage in this scary place with a lot of other dogs. It smells bad and is noisy. Someone says the word "Pound". What is a Pound? I am scared and I miss my mother.

Now this kind lady is taking me and my brothers from this scary place and takes me on a long car ride. She says that I am rescued. What does "Rescued" mean? It seems better than the pound.

Now I see this man in a white coat, he looks in my ears, my mouth, and HEY! that hurt! But they say I am now protected from "Parvo".

The next day we go to this cool store...lots of toys and good smells. And lots of people! I am placed in a large caged off area with other puppies. Everyone says I'm cute and hold me. Then I see this family coming my way with this big doggie. They scoop me up in their arms. I feel safe, relaxed. I took a nap. When I woke up, they let me sniff the big doggie. She was gentle, almost afraid of me. These humans said "Adoption" and I think that now I am theirs. After a quick shopping trip for food and toys that I got to pick out, another care ride and then someone said "We're home!". "Home", what a nice word.
