Arrival Story:
Dixie was rescued from the most egregious situation, living in squalor 24 hrs. a day in a travel crate inside an unheated garage. She however did not let the abuse at the hands of her previous owner change her spirit! Dixie is a true APBT with nothing but love to give and life to share. She loves other dogs and has acclimated to indoor living like a champ. She is already crate trained and her foster parents report only a few accidents in the last few weeks. Poppy is most comfortable in a calm home with other dogs. Dixie is missing a third of her jaw but this is of no concern for her, she has lived most her life without it and still loves to crunch her food. It is unknown how Dixie is with cats. Due to her tough life RDR will only adopt Dixie locally to an experienced bully home.
