Life and Times of Bella

My pups are 1-month-old

Babies are growing so fast. They are paper trained, only took about 3 days for them all to get it. They have started on puppy mush and are moved out of the whelping box into their play area. check out their blog at http://mynewpuppies.blogspot.com/2012/03/1-month-and-growing -fast.html

It is so fun to watch them grow. 2 of the babies have forever homes waiting them when they are old enough. The future parents come over at least weekly to bond with their little furbabies. Bella is starting to wean them as she does not go in and lay down as often as she did. She normally just jumps in, walks around the potty paper looking for messes I may have not cleaned up yet. She is very meticulus about the area being clean. She has allowed Louie to come in and interact with the babies as well. He is very gentle with the pups.

Although Plans for spaying and neutering our dogs were in the works, and we were being extra careful when Bella went into heat this last cycle, her and Louie managed to sneak behind our back long enough to get her pregnant. She is due in 3 weeks. Yes they will both be fixed as soon as she is able to, in order to prevent another accident. Feel free to follow my new pregnancy and puppy blog at http://mynewpuppies.blogspot.com

My what a great couple of weeks I've had. Mom and Dad have great times and then have bad. I got very lucky they said. I like running behind things and managed to keep unpluggin the lights from behind the sofa during my runs. They were fun to play with and mommy found when the lights wouldn't come on, that I chewed the ends of the cords off. Mom says I shouldn't do that and daddy fixed one of the lights. I of course had other plans and chewed the new plug partially off right away. Today mommy noticed the phone was dead. oh yeah, I did that too, I chewed through the phone cord

I LOVE shoes if they get left out, and rocks, oh man do I love rocks. Mommy found one I put on the porch, and she hid it on top of the large garbage can. She thought I didn't see her. I did and while she watched I kept trying to figure out how to get it. I finally gave up and found another rock in the yard to chew on.

I got to meet and play with a REALLY HUGE pittbull named Brooklyn this week. He came to visit my house. I chased him around, he was funny would run with me and just bark. He was a gentle giant with me.

Daddy got me a harness for walking, as I LOVE to pull. Mom and I went for a nice walk/run in the rain the other day, I did great and we ran most of the way, till her shoe lace broke. Oh yeah, that was a surprise from last few times I found her shoes and chewed on them. Mom is trying to desensitize me to loud traffic, we walk down along a lane road. She keeps telling me I'm doing good. It doesn't bother me too much. Every so often I stop to watch the cars go by, then when I feel safe we continue our walk.

I am getting big fast. I finally figured out how to get up on mommy and daddy's bed by myself, and I can make it down the hardwood stairs to the playroom downstairs. My boy has soooo many fun wooden toys, cars, and balls down there. I guess that is why I always her mommy or daddy yelling BELLA Maybe they are not too happy at what I've decided is fun things to play with.

oh well, back to my nap,
Bella aka Crazy dog
