How I ended up finding my new home.....The day before my now mom & her kids and the dogs owner witnessed a car run over a sweet little dog and the car kept going as if nothing happened. Her kids being trumatized watched that little dog die. It was too late to help him. The next day my new mom got an email about me a cute little Schnauzer that was hit by a car and left to die....The email said that a "good samaritan" called the local shelter where I laid there for two days in severe pain. The shelter finally let a lady named Michele who helps out with rescues have me & she cut out all the my knots because my hair was full of twigs, mats and painful briars & she took me to the Vet & a splint was put on my broken leg. She wrote a mass email trying to get me a foster home & as soon as my new mom seen me she just knew that she had to help & as soon as I met my new family they fell in love with me and as each day went by they decided to keep me. The vet that I first seen was hoping that my cast would help my leg but, my new parents wanted to make sure so they took me to there vet and got xrays. The xrays showed that I broke my leg really bad it was a Tib, Fib Fracture. They wanted to make sure that I got to keep my leg so they paid alot of money to get surgery for my leg,and paid for me to get groomed, They also wanted to make sure that I was pain free. I still don't know what happened to my old owner & why there was never any missing posters or ads about me, or why they never checked the pound to see if I was there. I am just sooo lucky that I have a new family that loves me sooo much that they even paid to have me microchiped so that this will never happen again. I know that they don't ever plan on letting me out of there site but, you never know what might happen. I am hoping my story touches people to that point that they think about getting there dog microchiped so that what happened to me dosen't happen to any other dog. If my old owner would have got me microchiped it would have paid for my surgery and also got me back to my owner right away. I would have never had to lay in pain for two days.
