Arrival Story: Last year around Thanksgiving I decided I wanted to adopt a dog. I had become so enamored of my sister's doggies, Dexter and Vadie, over the past 2 years that I wanted one of my own. I spent alot of time on Petfinder looking for pets but didn't see any close enough. So I went to visit our local shelter to see if there was one I would 'click' with. That's when I saw her! :) She was so scared and nervous. She was clearly not happy there :( I looked at the other dogs..because I had to get a small dog and I didn't know if she would get bigger. I left the shelter but she stayed in my head. I went back to visit her again that day. I was hooked! I didn't know what to expect when I brought her home. Turns out she was pretty much housebroken, is a total lapdog, and has good manners :) She is shy around strangers and is a good gaurd dog. She is the best dog for a first time dog owner! I love my good girl!

Bio: The people at the shelter thought she was a terrier mix. I kinda disagreed b/c she clearly has beagle in her. I searched different combinations online and came across 'greagle'. I saw pictures and it looks just like my baby! So she is an italian greyhound/beagle mix. I don't know how she ended up at the shelter. She is an excellent girl!

I love my mommy. But I don't get it. At night I'm ready for bed so I get all snuggled under the covers...but she doesn't turn off the bright light. Hmm. Then later she gets up and goes downstairs so OF COURSE I have to follow her. Then she goes back up the stairs again! She gets on the big soft thing. I jump up and I get comfortable again. Next thing I know she is getting up again! Sheesh! So I have to follow her. I look at her while she is sitting on the white thing with water in it next to the big water bowl. I try to tell her to go back to the soft thing. She doesn't get it.
Next thing I know my furry-friend-who-is-not-a-dog is jumping on me. I show her who is boss! Grrr....grrr...oh sorry I got distracted..
Umm where was I? Oh uh...mommy...yeah mommy. Wait...I think my friend wants to play..
