Arrival Story:
I had lost my dog Bear after 10 yrs and wasn't really looking for another dog.I was volunteering for the Bham Humane Society when Sassy was rushed in by her mommy. She had been beaten and was dying. Her "daddy" had beaten her in a drunken rage.The vet saved her but after considering her wounds..decided to euthanize her..once she came out of anesthesia..I was stationed with her and she so kindly licked my nose. I decided to adopt her. I came up with the money which wasn't easy because I was 18 and living on my own. I drove and visited her everyday. She was deemed aggresive because she bit every man that she came in contact with. The vet tried to convince me to go ahead and put her down ..but when I would go to see her she would be snarling in the cage until she saw me...and then puppy kisses.Anyway that was like 10 or 12 years ago. She is still my bestfriend, best companion, best doggie in the whole world.

Bio:
When Sassy came to me and after fighting back from being beaten we discovered she was heavy with pups. She had 4 puppies 2 of which survived and found loving homes. It was very hard on Sassy and myself. Sassy and I are firm believers in spay and nuetering.. Prevent a litter Spay your critter!!!

We are moving!!!

My Mommy says we are moving.. I have been at this house for like 7 years so I am pretty use to it. My mom says this new house is great.. I like the pond we have here .. But my mom says that we will have a "cement pond"at the new house!!!And we will come back to visit this summer to take care of this place and I can try to catch fish then!!! I hate change ..I'm old I like a routine!! But I think we will be fine..there is even two dashunds next door maybe we can be friends!!!

 

Gone Fishing!!!!

We took a long walk this weekend to the pond and as my mommy was tossing bread to the fish I was trying to eat it. And suddenly I had something wiggly in my mouth. My mom screamed for me to drop it..which I did and the thing started flip flopping around. My mom put it back in the pond and then her and daddy died laughing. She said I caught a FISH!! So now I do this everytime we go to the pond!!
