Arrival Story:
Cain and his brother Abel were surrendered to Chicagoland Bully Breed Rescue in late summer/early fall of 2004. We were fostering Cain (and Abel for a short while) and fell in love. Didn't take much time for him to convince us that he should stay.

Bio:
Cain was housed in a pen with his brother Abel before coming into rescue and apparently they got into a fight one day. Abel removed Cain's male apparatus at some point during the fight. The vets did a great job of rerouting the poor guy's plumbing to, essentially, make him a her. He's a very sweet dog that,even after being with us this long, is just now learning things puppies should. He still ducks when people he doesn't know go to pet him, but he's getting a lot better with it. Cain's best buddy is Gibson - and they are quite the pair! He is currently working his way into our humane education program and also making his way up the ladder to be an event dog. He has been to one rescue event that was an all day deal, and did great other than peeing on the floor when the 3 legged Dalmatian growled at him .
