Bio:
I'd been bugging my parents for a dog since I was about nine. Finally for my 14th birthday, my parents decided they were ready to get a dog. I chose a Sheltie because they're affectionate, smart, loyal and highly trainable (except my Sheltie wasn't because he was too smart for his own good.) I think we had our names down for a puppy but then we heard of Merlin (who was 18 months at the time) and since I didn't care if he were an adult or puppy, we decided to drive up and meet him. It was pretty much love at first sight so we took him home there and then. Merlin went on to spend almost 12 wonderful years with us. He died just over a month before his 13th birthday after a brief battle with terminal illness. I'll miss him everyday.
