Arrival Story:
There were so many homeless dogs after Hurricane Katrina we decided to look into adopting one. A friend told us about Petfinder.com and one night while browsing I saw this face and couldn't resist. She was at a no-kill reacue in Amite, LA so we made contact with them and went to see her. She was so shy and scared but it was love at first sight. The lady who ran the rescue was bringing another dog to the vet and on the way saw Coco get hit by a car on a busy highway. She picked her up and brought her to the vet also, luckily no serious injuries. We adopted her the night we met her.
