Arrival Story:
Limper is a stray around the neighborhood. He actually goes through the holes under the fence to play with our three dogs and to try to get some food and attention.
Limper is a very friendly dog and would love to have your company. He loves to roll over when the sun is out and just rubs himself on the grass. He especially loves the feel of human hands rubbing his belly!!
He has been in a lot of fights with neighboring dogs and has bad cuts and bruises and bites on his legs which explains the name we gave him: Limper. We nurse him every time and he does heal well. We think his legs are healed because sometimes he limps with the left leg and then the next day, he limps with the right. He's just use to limping! The tip of his left ear is torn because of the fights he has been in. The picture you see is when he was badly hurt (he's lying down) and we we're trying hard to nurse him back to good health. Unfortunately, there remains a scar under one of his ears. All he needs is love and attention and care and he will look and feel more lovable than ever.
If you are interested in Limper, pls let me know as soon as possible. I would hate to call the dog pound but it may be the only alternative I have... neighbors complain about him or throw things at him which will only hurt him more. Please save Limper!!! He's a very lovable dog and very cute.
Bio:
Departure story: Limper has now left us in Houston, TX to Nikki, his Ratbone Rescuer, in Ocean Shores, WA. Nikki saw him on his webpage and saved him from the streets. It was very tough to go through paper work at the airport and putting him into his crate. He wanted out... but we couldnt take him out for it was to hard to put him back in. I miss Limps already and I know he will someday get a good home. His IS A VERY well behaved dog, loves to follow people around. He will be surely missed. Love you, Limps!

Limper, the neigborhood/guard dog @ Prairie Ridge, will soon be leaving us! Fortunately, Nikki and Cora from Ratbones Rescue has read Limper's page on dogster and has done everything in less than a week to fly him to Seattle. Hearing these women express their deepest concern for Limper, I know this little dog will be soo pampered and loved! We will miss him dearly esp. my dad!!! It was sad to leave him for a couple of days at the vet, (he climbed on my dad for comfort), but i know he'll have a better home with Nikki! Thanks again for all that has kept their eyes and concerns on Limp... he's getting a much better home now!!!

Please adopt me! I'm very cute and very lovable! I love to stand by so you can feel really safe. I'm black and white and but my head is all black. I think I look really cute and i hope u feel that way about me too. My picture will be coming soon. :)
