Jumping, biting, chewing, digging, and being totally destructive
Being ignored or not being able to get somewhere cuz it's blocked
anything but it doesn't last very long, she destroys it in minutes
she doesn't have one, she goes all over the place
figuring out how to get around something i've used as a barracade
Baby Girl was 1 of 3 dogs the neighbors had across the street. Those dogs would come over all the time and run and play with my dog Daisy. In September, the couple split up and the lady moved out. She couldn't take the dogs with her so she left them with her ex. His job takes him away from home for 4-5 weeks at a time, so he took in a room mate to look after everything. This room mate decided that it wasn't his responsibility to take care of the dogs so he put them outside all the time. Sometimes he'd chain them up out back for days with no food or water to be found or he'd just let them run around figuring they'd find their own food. Well they started camping out at my house and hiding under my trucks for shade from the sun and the rain. I realized they were losing weight and you could see the ribs on all 3 dogs. So, I started putting food out for them in the morning and again when I got home from work. I bought them bedding and they slept on my front steps. I felt so bad for them but I tried to do what I could for them. Things went from bad to worse and one of the neighbors called animal control. I got a hold of the lady and told them animal control was coming to take her dogs. She ended up coming over and took the 2 big dogs and I told her I'd keep Baby Girl until she could come get her too. This was back in October and I have not heard from this lady since. I call that abandonment. I have been raising this dog, training this dog, feeding this dog, etc. It's my dog.
Baby Girl needs to be spayed before something happens. I called the vet and made an appointment for her for tomorrow to get spayed but the vet wanted proof of shots. So, I called the lady's vet but they wanted the lady's consent to give out information. So, I had to call this lady. That's when she informed me that she had come to my house Tuesday morning while I was at work to come take the dog. One of my neighbors happened to see her and yelled at her to get off my property, it wasn't her dog and they'd call the cops if she didn't leave. I have to find the neighbor to thank them! Anyway, I basically didn't give the lady a chance to claim the dog after that. I went and picked her up, took her to the vet's office, she wrote a note saying that she gave me the dog effective yesterday, we both signed it and the dog's records were transferred to me. I even had the dog micro chipped with my information right then and there while she helped hold the dog steady to inject the chip. I bought the lady some lunch, took her back to her house and left. Baby Girl is mine and I hope that lady never comes back.

I finally turned 1 year old today and was really looking forward to having my pretty face show up in the birthday stroll with all the other birthday puppies today. No such luck! 1053 birthday puppies today and I'm not even one of them. Mom went thru the stroll twice too. We got the email wishing me a Happy Birthday today and everything but it must be really hard for Dogster to add me to the birthday stroll. For as long as mom has been a Plus member, you think they'd make sure we show up on that 1 day of the year. Most of the kitties in the house never show up in the kitty birthday stroll either so I shouldn't be surprised. We're really disappointed but I'm sure they don't care.
Happy Birthday to all those puppies out there. It's a shame I couldn't be a part of that celebration in the birthday stroll today. Happy Birthday to me...I turned 1 today.

My mom took me to this strange place this morning and she had to struggle with me to get me through the doors. I managed to slip my head out of the leash and collar and tried to make a run for it...I wasn't going through those doors voluntarily! But, mom drug me through those unfamiliar doors anyway. Once inside, it was so loud! Lots of dogs barking in the back, strangers all around, birds squawking at the top of their lungs! I was scared. I sat at my mom's feet and I was trembling. Then this strange man came and took me into the back. I don't know what's happening but I know I'm scared and confused. And why did mom take my food away last night around 9pm? She didn't give me any food this morning either. What's up with that? Was I bad? Am I fat or something? Doesn't mom love me anymore? Where am I and why am I here? Where's mom? I don't like this!!!
