Arrival Story:
7/13/2010 - Hi - Artie here. It has been a hot summer so far! I like my early morning and nighttime walks, but during the day I prefer to bask in the AC! I've been doing really well on my walks. My Foster Mom was proud of me today. We passed by a neighbor dog that always barks at us and while I was curious about him, I behaved myself and walked on. Sometimes, when one of our neighbors is with us, she will let me off leash and I just love to run around the parking lot. I would really love to have a back yard that I can call my own. I could run laps, stretch my legs, and work off this energy I have. Please contact my Foster Mom if you have any questions at all or if you want to meet me. Looking forward to that match made in heaven!

Bio:
Would do best with another dog. Good with other dogs NEEDS SUPERVISED INTROs. Needs work on: He needs work on the leash and slow intros to new dogs. I have a gentle leader which works very well, but without it, he is quite strong and can pull you. Also does better when fed in his crate or by himself at first. He tends to be food possessive. We have gotten a comfortable routine down, now, but it could be quite hectic in the beginning. HEALTH ISSUES: Finished Heart worm treatments June 8, 2010. Health Issues II: He has some bumps on his back that the vet is treating with antibiotics right now, and they need to be watched. They have not changed since he has been with BRBR.

Artie here and I have good news. I have completed my heartworm treatment, Woo Hoo!!! I love playing with my foster sister and getting lots of love and treats. I’m also good with cats can you believe that. I do need slow intros when meeting new dogs. I get so excited I just have a hard time containing myself so slower is better for me. I’m really enjoying my foster home by I sure would like to have a home and family to call my own. If you think you would like to have me, a handsome boy, in your life just fill out one of those application things and my people can make it happen.
