Sun Sign: Quick Bio:
 Birthday: January 1st 2006
Likes: When we come home from work, belly rubs, playing chase/bite

Pet-Peeves: When the others get attention, Sobo (one of our other dogs)

Favorite Toy: Diesel (our border collie lol)

Favorite Food: any kind of table scrap concoction, the more ecclectic the better

Favorite Walk: the infield of our 1/2 mile race track

Best Tricks: 'bites you' without biting, doesn't really do tricks but is quite a quirky girl

Arrival Story: She became into our family two years ago...
We lost our beloved dogs to a summer storm the day after our wedding. We were left with one dog at the farm and since we don't like having one dog (they need other dogs) we started looking through ads to adopt one (having a bad taste from the Humane Society, we opted for online ads instead).
On the first page of the listed Kijiji ads, I seen a semi pixely closeup picture of her face, and it looked like a black german shepherd. Ad listed *My big beautiful dog needs an acreage life*. We called up the ad poster and they said they were just down the road in a townhouse.
So we knock on the door and here some rather LOUD barking, the owner of the house opens it and Lucy explodes forth... Sniffing me all over and looking so unsure and demure. The last person who came to look at her, she barked at him the whole time so apparently it was love at first sniff lol. I just looked at her face and knew I was going home with her. She kissed her boys (they had three boys) goodbye and we loaded her in the truck and headed home to the farm.

Bio: In the ad we found her in, it was stated she was a "St. Bernard/German Shepherd". After seeing her I knew that wasn't the case so I did my homework and found her to speculatively be a Dutch Shepherd/lab. She inhibits a lot of physical and tempermental attributes of both breeds, I find it to be an awesome mix and have always loved Dutch Shepherds.
