Arrival Story:
I decided that I really wanted a female Papillon more than anything else, so I started searching/dreaming several months in advance. I scanned various local newspapers' classifieds looking for Papillon breeders with puppies for sale. Since Papillons are not easy to come by and relatively expensive, I had to drive quite far from home to go look at puppies. I went to the breeder expecting to get a puppy from a later/younger litter, and therefore having to drive back in a few weeks. I also had my heart set on getting a brown and white or red and white Papillon and never thought I would end up with a black and white one in a million years. When I saw Juliette, however, she was panting and looked so sweet. It was love at first sight! The reason Juliette was left from her litter is because the breeder loved her so much she was going to keep her, but then realized she did not need the responsibility of another dog at that time. Even though I wasn't quite ready to bring her home yet, I knew I just had to. We bonded immediately and are like two peas in a pod. She has been my baby girl, my companion, my best friend, and my canine shadow ever since!
