Arrival Story:
In September, 2008, my mom's MinPin, Pixie, got out of the yard when the pool guy left the gate open. (Needless to say, that was his last day as the pool guy.) She was hit by a car and killed. My mom and boy were devastated. They couldn't even think about getting another dog for a while. Some time later, mom was visiting a relative and ran into an older fellow walking his Boston Terrier, me. Clyde couldn't keep me any more because his wife, Sadie was old and sick and I was too much work. I guess a 3 year old Boston Terrier is a bit of a handful and, at 90, he felt he wasn't giving me the kind of activity-filled life I need (and deserve!). He hoped someone would adoptme. Mom says she couldn't bear the thought of this sweet little pooch (me!) ending up in a shelter, so she said, "Yup. I'll take her." She fills my time with doggy busy work, and she says I'm smart as a whip, and a laugh a minute. On Sunday's we go visit old Clyde, and when mom has to go out of town overnight for her job, he babysits. And spoils me! All of us are very happy!!

Saturday I had my picture taken! Actually, I had a lot of pictures taken - it took FOREVER. My mom took me to the park, and Kris the photographer had a fancy camera. At first I just had to sit on the ground, but then I had to sit in a basket with pretend flowers, and then I had to sit on a blanket with a feathery thing around my neck. It made me sneeze! I didn't mind sitting in the basket for 2 or 3 minutes, but then I wanted to go check out the kids and their hot dogs and the balls they were playing with. I wanted to play, too! FINALLY Kris was done taking my pictures. My mom went to see proofs and pick out which ones to buy. She said I'm very beautiful in them! She's going to give one to Clyde and it will be in a pretty frame and I get to go with her to give it to him. Yea - Clyde always has nice treats for me!
