Quick Bio:

GETTING THEM RATS AND MICE!!!! then riding in mom's car

being groomed

Favorite Toy:
her very own blankie/quilt from Barb Schuster

Favorite Food:
cottage cheese and tuna are tied

Favorite Walk:
Anywhere... but the dodggy park is also pretty cool

Best Tricks:
Getting mom to let me inside when she thinks we ought to stay outside

Arrival Story:
Sophie was advertised in our local paper from a breeder who was mkoving of his ranch and back into town and was getting out of his hobby of breeding both Cairn Terriers and Golden Retrievers. She and her last pup from her last litter were both available, but after picking Sohpie up and hugging her... it was only Sophie for me.

Sophie has always been the alpha dog in the house... well, as long as the little terrier mix, Willy would let her. Now that Willy has gone to the Rainbow Bridge, SHE is the ruler of the roost.... or so the rest of them let her think she is.

Reunion Heart from Mom

Since The Bridge has become your home
I sometimes feel I’m so alone:
And though we now are far apart
You hold a big piece of my heart.

I never knew how much I’d grieve
When it was time for you to leave,
Or just how much my heart would ache
From that one fragment you would take.

God lets this tender hole remain
Reminding me we’ll meet again,
And one day all the pain will cease
When He restores this missing piece.

He’ll turn to joy my every tear
With thoughts of you I hold so dear:
And they become my special way
To treasure our Reunion Day.

God knew that you were suffering.
That the steps were hard to climb
So He gently closed your eyelids
And whispered "Peace be thine."

In tears I watched you sinking
I watched you fade away
My heart was surely broken
You fought so hard to stay

But when I saw you sleeping
So peaceful, free from pain
I could not wish you back
To suffer that again

It broke my heart to lose you
But you did not go alone
For part of me went with you
That day when God called you home.

My best friend closed her eyes last night,
As her head was in my hand.
The Doctors said she was in pain,
And it was hard for her to stand.

The thoughts that scurried through my head,
As I cradled her in my arms.
Were of her younger, puppy years,
And OH ... her many charms.

Today, there was no gentle nudge
With an intense "I love you gaze,"
Only a heart that's filled with tears
Remembering our joy filled days.

But an Angel just appeared to me,
And he said, "You should cry no more,
GOD also loves our canine friends,
He's installed a 'doggy-door'!
