Leave a bone for Maxx (1990-2004)

Nicknames:
Maxxi

Likes:
Maxx loved to be rubbed and his daily "pulls" around the neighborhood

Pet-Peeves:
Water...no way, no how

Favorite Toy:
Bones....and Cruella the cat

Favorite Food:
Butcher bones

Favorite Walk:
The nightly pull/walk around the neighborhood

Best Tricks:
Sit/Paw/Down...unfortunately all in that order :)

Arrival Story:
We adopted Maxx as a pup in 1990 in Hawaii. From the start we were blessed with a special dog. We took him with us as we moved to IL and then back home to MA and he took the changes all in stride.

Bio:
Maxx left us for the Bridge exactly one year ago, January 2004 at the age of 14. To this day we miss him terribly and his collar still hangs on the mantle. We miss his gentleness, his protectiveness, his howls, his thick soft fur. I miss him so much. We have added 2 Havanese pups and we love them dearly but they will never take the place of our Maxx.

I've Been On Dogster Since:

"So this is where we part, My Friend,
and you'll run on, around the bend,
gone from sight, but not from mind,
new pleasures there you'll surely find.

I will go on. I'll find the strength,
life measures quality, not its length.
One long embrace before you leave,
share one last look, before I grieve.

There are others, that much is true,
but they be they, and they aren't you.
And I, fair, impartial, or so I thought,
will remember well all you've taught.

Your place I'll hold, you will be missed,
the fur I stroked, the nose I kissed.
And as you journey to your final rest,
take with you this....I loved you best."
