Arrival Story:
We went to the local SPCA to see a Beagle. Shadie was in the cage with the Beagle. She had big ears (made her look like the Flying Nun!), a horrible name, black fur, 4 months old, and a horrible write up (she was listed as TOO HARD TO HANDLE!!). We knew she was going to have trouble being adopted. We left that day and came back because my husband had seen some puppies and he wanted one of them. My heart still pulled for Shadie. We left and came back again and decided to get Shadie and who was soon to be her little sister (Toree).

Bio:
Shadie is my little girl. She weighs close to 70 pounds and tends to be possesive about me and her toys/treats/bones - to other dogs that is. She was food bowl agressive when we got her, but with much patience we broke her of that (many days of sitting in the breakfast nook hand feeding her after she started to get used to us.) Now we can take her food from her anytime. She is a big bundle of love!
