Arrival Story:
This dog was found tied up to a tree at 6 months old. He was malnurished and weighed only 35 lbs (my female weighed that much at 3 months!). A lady (now good friend) saw him and talked to the people that had him tied up. They had found him and was waiting on animal control to come and get him. Thankfully there was a greater power at work and he wasn't taken to the pound. Instead the lady and a friend of hers took the then 'Petie' to the vet, got him in good health and after some rehabilitation, he was placed up for adoption. I ran across an ad for him on the local dog park website. The ad was 10 days old, so I really figured he would be gone. Again, powers at work - he was still in need of a home. I have a female that was in desperate need of a playmate. We made arrangements to meet at the dog park. I instantly fell in love with him and so did my other dog. We took him home that night. He now weighs almost 85 lbs and is still growing. He is very healthy and happy. We call him P.D. for Pre-Determined as we feel it was obvious he was meant to be with us.
