Favorite Walk:

Best Tricks:

Arrival Story:
My former mom & my current mom were introduced by Nancy Hofman, the Eskie's late breed expert. My new mom drove all the way from San Jose to Riverside to pick me up! My mom fell in love with me even though I looked a lot like a scrub brush 'cuz I had been shaved. I had Demodectic Mange and the vet just couldn't get it cleared up. Well, my new mom and my new vet decided that a trip to UC Davis was in order. Within a month after my first visit, I was a totally new dog!

I have been blind for a looonnnggg time 'cuz of Progressive Retinal Atrophy, a genetic problem like the Mange. I got all the sweet temperment genes and several of the bad conditions genes; but I am the happiest boy you'll ever meet. One of mom's friends calls me the God Dog. She says when she looks in my face, she sees God. Awwww.

My mom found out last week that I have something called Diabetes. I was really lethargic and drinking a lot of water and peeing a LOT, so mom took me in to see my vet and they ran a lot of blood tests. Diabetes in dogs can't be treated with oral meds, so my mom has to give me two shots a day, which I'm not real thrilled with; but I am feeling sssssoooooo much better now. I'm back to my old self.
I was really happy when my vet said that I could stay on my Nutro Ultra Senior. I sure didn't like the idea of the prescription foods. I'm a good eater when I have good food. I'm 16 now so healthy food is really important to me.
