Leave a bone for Three

Nicknames: toasted bagel, troisieme, tres, threedog, trizzle... or any witty 3-legged nickname

Quick Bio:
| -mutt | -three legger | -part feral | | -dog rescue |
Likes: spinning in circles, looking depressed even when perfectly happy

Pet-Peeves: anything with wheels, kids (especially kids on wheels), nailtrims, thunderstorms, dogs who play rough (except for weimaraners; they could do no wrong)

Favorite Toy: three was never one for playing.... more the introverted, intellectual, wise-beyond-her-years type.

Favorite Food: the dead worms that get stuck on the sidewalk after it rains. yeah, i know, it's gross.

Favorite Walk: taking the T from davis square to the charles river & boston common. she loved the attention (and/or food) from people on the train.

Best Tricks: three never learned any useful commands, but when she got excited, she'd howl like a beagle. i never quite understood how she could do that.

Arrival Story: three was a stray in puerto rico for about 3 years, and was rescued by someone there after getting hit by a car (hence her aversion to wheels). i found her at a shelter in mass., and we were inseparable from day 1. it was cosmic, i tell you. she was one of those dogs who just "knew" things. she died after i had her for only 2 years, after a year-long struggle with lymphoma.

Bio: if you're really bored and feeling cheesy, i wrote an article about three for a friend's magazine. the link (if it works) is

as i said, it's cheesy, but that's what happens when you lose a dog you love, y'know?
