He herds. He's not *trained* to herd -- he's not sure why he does it -- but he tries his best to herd people. I have a hard time making it to the mailbox and back!

Arrival Story:
I adopted Sam several years ago when the family who owned him wanted to get rid of him because he wouldn't hunt squirrels. "The man gave me that dog and said he was a good squirrel dog. Hell, he's so lazy he lays down to eat." Stupid man.

Bio:
In early September, Sam came up missing. Though we searched, we found no sign of him. He had had heartworms for many years, and we feel in our hearts that he went away to die. He will be missed, especially by Jake, who was his best pal. Rest in Peace, Sammy...we hope you're happy at the Rainbow Bridge.
