Mom says I'm steadily making progress at learning to trust people. I get to go outside without a leash now because I have learned it's not too scary to come in with the others when Mom calls us. But I still have to be on a chain inside because I won't always go out when Mom says to and I later potty somewhere I'm not supposed to. So Mom tricks me and catches me and puts me back on a chain. It's fun being able to play with all my foster siblings outside or on our sofa when we're inside.

Getting close to being a normal dog!

Back in June, 2009, I was so scarred I bit (foster) Mom 4 times the first 2 days (probably because of her inexperience) but I've come a long way since then. Now I still don't like being picked up but I smile at Mom a lot now and I kiss Mom on the hand sometimes when I think she won't notice. Mom picks me up unexpectedly sometimes and brushes me. I get so sleepy I go to sleep on her lap. Mom says I could get more attention if I was in a family with fewer pets. I'm happy here but I guess in time I could adjust and maybe I would be even happier!
It's been too cold to play outside much lately so sometimes I run as fast as I can from one end of the house to the other and back again--Mom says I am so funny. All my foster siblings and I run all around the house, doggie wrestle, play tug-of-war, run up and down the stairs, toss and shake our stuffed toys, chew on our bones, and take naps together. My ornery baby sister grabs my collar and pulls me around sometimes but I am nice to her because I know she is littler. Mom says I am so sweet and gentle and try so hard to please.
