So Mommy has been talking about a thing called the AKC and is saying that she is going to register me with a PAL/ILP, whatever that is. So today she brushed me until I was all fluffy, turned me on my good side and had Daddy take pictures of me. The camera wouldn't focus so I had to stand somewhat stacked for what seemed like forever. Finally we got two great pictures that were exactly what we needed. Another thing Mommy has been talking about dog obedience. Her and Daddy went away for a while last night and came back talking about training and treats and all sorts of fun stuff. I guess Rhum and I start next Wednesday. I hope I do well! Oh by the way in two training sessions about fifteen minutes long I've learned sit, down and stand all on verbal cue alone. I know I'm too smart for my own good!

Well I've been home for about two weeks now and I think I have figured out these stuffed thingys and bones. I kind of chew and play on them but what is really fun is to pick them all up and put them in one spot. Rhum tries to get them from me but he isn't sure how to do it. I don't growl or anything but he is very toy submissive in other words if I have a toy he wants he just looks at me and waits until I get distracted and then goes in for the steal! I think this is great fun hoarding all the toys from him!

I guess Mommy (Capri) hadn't offically adopted me when she brought me home. She wanted to see if I was going to be able to get over my fearfulness some. Well I showed her! I had never been on a leash except for when at the rescue they had to move me and tried to drag me along and usually just ended up carrying me. When Mommy first put the leash on at home to work on it some, I freaked out! Little by little though I understood that the leash wasn't going to kill me and that good things happened when I was on the leash. Soon she decided to take a risk and bring me on a walk around the neighborhood. To an untrained eye it is a silent neighborhood but to me it was very busy. There were people taking their trash out, kids playing in the backyard, water running down the street, leaves blowing, cars driving by, birds flying, music from inside of houses and other dogs barking. Intense I know! I took it like a champ though. I wasn't shy or fearful at all! I looked at her sometimes for reassurance but then I kept on trucking! I want to see more new things this was fun!
