Arrival Story:
On Thanksgiving 2000, my sister Kristine called me and said that their next door neighbor's dog just had puppies and wanted me to come over and just *look.* I had convinced myself that I would not get a puppy, but I fell in love with Maddie and had to take her home that night!
Bio:
Maddie is a German Shepherd mix. The lady who gave her to us said she was a purebred, but there was no way that was true when you look at her. She's much smaller and thinner than a pure German Shepherd. It was easy to potty train her, but very difficult to train her to do anything else. She's gone through Man's Best Friend obedience training and we owe a lot of gratitude to "Aunt Rachel."
