Hi there! Its me, ERNIE! Okay, okay, so I am a talker. I talk to my foster family, I talk to my boxer brother and sister. I talk to my toys. Speaking of toys, I love fetch. As long as you are willing to throw a ball, I am willing to chase it and bring it back to you. Seriously, I don’t get tired of it. Ever. I am very close to being completely house trained. I have very few accidents. I am what you call a pocket-boxer. I don’t think I will get much heavier than 50 pounds. But 50 pounds is just the right size if you ask me. Go ahead, ask me. I will tell you all about it. I know sit, down, shake, stay and come. I take treats gently, no nips or gobbles here. I like to look out the window and when I see cars, kids, dogs, squirrels, cats, I wag my tail. I only bark if those hooligans in my house bark first. Then I have to act all tough and macho. But secretly I am a lover, not a fighter! My foster mom says that one day my forever family will find me and decide that they cant live without me for another minute. Are you my forever family? If so, lets talk!

Hi! My name is Ernie and I love you! I love sleeping inside on my dog bed. I love getting regular and frequent meals. I love paying with a rope. Most of all, I love all the petting and attention I am getting in my foster home. I was rescued last week from the shelter and I am loving life. I am 2 years old and only weigh 36 pounds so my foster mom says I need to eat up all the yummy stuff she puts in my bowl. There are two dogs here with me, a boy and a girl, and I get along great with them. I wasn’t too sure about manners when I met them so I barked a little, but settled right down when told that wasn’t polite. We are great friends now. Take me outside and I will do my business. I don’t think I have ever been taken for a walk on a lead so I really need work on that. I sit when told. Um, I am not loving my crate and I will tell you that I don’t like it when I am in there but my foster mom says I must learn to be a good boy and not talk back when I am in there. But seriously, I don’t chew or mess on the floor so I am not sure why I should have to learn! I am gentle and loving and looking for a family that promises to love me and pet me and make me a cherished member of their family forever. Am I the pet for you? Until next time…Love, Ernie
