Arrival Story:
Lily Rose came to us from STARS Rescue Group where we adopted Gracie Jane from. We have been looking for a long time for that one more pup that would complete our family and we were blessed to have STARS call us about Lily Rose. She was originally bought by a family to breed only. Within the first year she was in the ER with a broken left front leg which the owners had fixed. It wasn't until recently when her front right leg got broken that the owners turned her in to the local shelter and asked that she be taken in or put to sleep. The shelter took her in and it was found that her leg had been broken for awhile and she'd been dealing with the pain for some time. Nobody knows how her legs got broken but it is assumed that since there were small children in the home that they may have contributed to it. Knowing that STARS rescues all pups in need, the shelter called them and asked for their help. They rescued Lily and took her for the care she needed. She had to have her right front leg amputated, but she also got spayed and had her teeth cleaned at the same time. From the second she arrived here it was as if she'd been here all along. She loves everyone and everypup and is just the sweetest two pounds of love anyone could ask for. *Update - We've determined a child never hurt Lily because when she sees any of the kids in our neighborhood, she runs full speed to go play with them. In fact, she runs full speed to meet anyone new! She's become the local greeter.

I'm Itchy! Are you?

Please pups, if you're itchy, please visit your vet. The global weather seems to explain our itchiness, but benadryl and chlor tabs (over the counter at Walgreens) did not work for me. I found I have an underlying issue and it's a simple staph infection. I've been given a shot for it and should stop itching after 3-4 days if successful. Mom waited two weeks longer than she should because she thought because of our weather I had allergy issues, but thankfully she got me in and we found my issues. I'll be fine soon, but please, please go visit your vet and don't assume your itchy issues are weather related.

It's my birthday and I am so humbled by all of the well wishes and gifts and even a new you-tube video that was posted by my boyfriend Riley that is going viral! (He sings happy birthday to me with a birthday hat on!) If Mom could ever figure out how to post on my site, we'll be set! (For now, look for Riley sings to Lily Rose happy birthday on You Tube)

I just love Dogster :)

My first visit at the Flower Mound Senior Care Center

Oh boy! My neighbor Jolie and I got to go to the local senior care center today to visit with the most amazing people I've ever met! The seniors held us and talked to us and smiled a lot and asked to take pictures with us and we just had the most amazing time! I lost track of how many kisses I gave, but I loved all of it! We got to visit the rehabilitation center, the bingo room, the library, bible study and the hair salon. The only place we were not welcome was the dining room. Something about health regulations. Regulations, schmegulations, it smelled so good! Jolie and I have been asked to come back as soon as possible. We don't need to have any special papers or anything thank goodness. We just want to kiss people and be held. I posted some pix on my page of my pawfect day!
