Arrival Story:
Norman was my first foster dog. His family surrendered him after loving him for 5 years. Unfortunatly he had aggression issues and was not good around the kids. We tried working with Norman for some time on his issues but he only became worse and we had to make the heartbreaking decision to put him to sleep. Holding him in my arms that day, May 17, 2007 at 2pm, was the hardest and most heartbreaking thing I've ever had to do. I loved Norman very much and wanted so badly to find him a forever home. Unfortunatly for Norman he didn't get that happy ending, but I know that he is at peace now, free from whatever burdened him and made him frightened enough to bite those he loved.

Although Normy had aggression issues, deep down he wanted to be, and tried to be a sweet, loving, normal dog. When he was being well behaved he was so affectionate and was just your typical springer. He was incredibly smart and had a great ability to learn new tricks and obstacles. He loved agility and frisbees. He loved treats, watching birds on tv, long walks and swimming.

Mommy Please Don't Cry
Mommy please don’t cry
I tried to be good
But something deep inside
Kept me from acting as I should
You held me close
And gave me so much love
Never will I forget you
Even though I’ve gone above
There are meadows to run in
Sunshine all the long day
I am in a great place now
Don’t be sad I’m away
Now the angels surround us
At the rainbow bridge above
But never will I forget
That you showered me with love
We are all happy here
and this is where we'll stay
Waiting for you to join us
When the road turns that way
