Today is my birthday

I am 5 years old today, I am the most loved lil gal ever. I get to get a bite of good stuff tonight for dinner!!! I know Sully and Gidget will get some too cuz Sully had a birthday a few weeks back and we all got the extra treat. I can't wait to open my present tonight. I am so happy my Mom didn't let me sit in that cage any longer. I have such a great life here, plenty of love, my pugmates and the best humans ever.

that big fish

I was out puttering around the yard this morning and noticed something new in our pond so I decided to check it out. I got to the edge and this HUGE orange fish popped up and scared the dickens outta me, I jumped back and barked my self dizzy. Mom just stood there laughing, oh yeah, real funny there woman. Then she picked me uo and showed me the new fish, and I calmed down. It's pretty, and has a BIG mouth, I need to keep my distance though, it looks like it could swallow me.

Happy Birthday to me

I got the hide a bee!!!!! Now we have the bees, squirrels and the bird ones, these are great toys! Mom is baking me a special cake for just me and Sully to enjoy. I think it will be a great day.

I can't help but be nosy

There is a package on the table, I gotta find out what is in it, my birthday is coming up and I can smell a gift coming. I can't get up on the table to check it out, but I keep pushing at the table and if I persist I think I can knock it down. Sully got a hide a bird toy for his birthday a couple weeks ago and this box is the same size, I am so excited.

noctournal klepto

I have become a noctournal klepto my Mom says. I wander thru the house while everyone is asleep and find things to bring back to bed with us. Things like, cigarettes, lighters, cell phone, pager (all Dad's stuff) He asked if I was waiting on my 'connect' to page me and let me know he was on his way to light my cigarette.
I just like having lots of things to chew on while everyone is asleep. It will teach them to stay up all night with me since they leave to go to work all day and I sleep all day, and I am not ready to go back to sleep yet again. Mom surprised me though last night, before she went to bed she scooped up all of my Dad's items and put them up so I couldn't bring them to bed. I was so bummed. But...I decided I needed something, so I brought my food dish to bed. The cold metal bowl didn't go over too well up against my Mom's leg and it got put up too. Whats a gal to do?

I didn't get to go, but maybe thats a good thing

My Mom took Sully for a ride in the car the other day, I was so upset I didn't get to go, but when he came home he was walking a little slow and was cranky, I went to greet him at the door and he just wasn't 'himself' I noticed that something was missing. He had em when he left. He chuffed at me when I went to take a look. They were gone, man he really must have upset someone for them to take them away. (note to self...self, don't go for a ride in the car) Mom said that Sully was ok, just let him rest, but I just HAD to see. He was laying on the couch snoring and then and there I saw where they USED to be, they were GONE! Someone snatched them, I think I got too close for comfort cuz Sully woke up and chuffed at me again, I am nosy, I just wanted to see, sheesh, he didn't need to be so grouchy. I snuggled up to him and let him know I still loved him and I gave Mom 'THE LOOK' I guess it's a good thing I don't have dangly playtoys or someone might steal them too.

PUGTONA 500

I escaped thru the gate today, my Mom was so upset, she was frantically calling my name and offering treats over and over and all I did was run the Pugtona 500, around and around the yards as fast as I could go, she was screaming for Dad to come help and I ran lap after lap after lap, I know I won the race but I surely didn't get the checkered flag or a pepsi, I got scolded and told that races are to be inside the fence ONLY, then the ole, "get it? got it? GOOD" and she scooped me up, hugged
me so snug I could hear her heart beating really fast, and kissed on me and then popped my butt, she popped me on the butt, that is NOT how you treat the winner of the big race, I think I scared her.

busy lil gal

well it is spring planting season again and I have been helping with the planting.
Mom was out pulling weeds and getting the ground ready for more plants and seeds and I picked up the weeds and carried them off, she had to get the rake and clean up my idea of good places to set them down, I don't think she was too thrilled, then she just HAD to keep using a wet rag to clean my face and tongue because I was, according to her, eating dirt, pfffft, wrong, I was tasting it. Every time she put a pretty thing in the ground I would go up to it and then the voice would say, smell don't eat, man she took all the fun outta gardening. I did dig her 7 new holes to help, I noticed when she put seeds in, the holes were not real deep, the 7 holes I dug are (were) small ones, I can't wait to see what comes out of them, I think she put seeds in them cuz they are covered back up. I went for a dip in the pond too, thats when she scolded me because I scared her fishies and they hid.
We had a real good time and I even snuck into the shower with her to clean up when she didn't shut the door all they way! Now I am fresh and clean and ready for another day of gardening. I love spring!

Minty Fresh Breath

Merry Christmas to me! I saw a red and white thing on the coffee table, I walked past and it said "pssst hey, look at me" I went closer and it was softly saying, "hattie, ooooooh hattie" so I grabbed it and tore it up,it was a candy cane! it was SO good, I got the whole straight part eaten before I got busted. I gave Mom some smooches to make it up to her and she remarked how fresh and minty my breath was! My nose is on alert for any thing else left out.

I was scared

Now thats it getting cooler out, we have the windows open and I lay on the back of the couch all day watching my neighbors out walking their dogs, and the cars driving by. I was so protective of our really good friends house next door until they got back from the fair last week with a 3 1/2 foot tall gorilla thingy, all big and stuffed, I bout freaked out when that thing was sitting out on the deck, Sully heard my cries and came running too, he too wigged out kinda bad when he saw it. We both went into attact mode, teeth bared, hair standing on end straight down our backs and growling and barking fiercely. They took it inside so we could calm down, it was frightening for us. It took me a few attempts to climb back on top of the couch, I was worried it was back. I guess I am not as brave as I think I am. But, it was HUGE. Now if I could just get my teeth on it!!!! Oh the STUFFING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It would reach the ceiling by the time I was done with it, woohoooooooo
