stuffed toys of any shape or form, food obviously and she loves to wrestle with JB....they roll around on the ground for hours...thus the nasty, wet ring around both their necks....

She is NOT into sharing toys....we had an issue over that....but otherwise is a very mellow dog.

hmmm....we are guessing that she doesn't dislike too many foods..just look at her....we will be working on her diet and taking some poundage off.

so far we haven't been able to walk cause of ice and mud...right now more mud than anything

sit and shake and oh! yes, bulldoze everyone with that body of hers...we will be working on that one.
Arrival Story:
I wanted to adopt again.....so contacted Companion Golden Retriever Rescue out of West Jordan, Utah...because we had gotten JB last year from them....after a couple of weeks of trying to decide who to get they got hold of me and said they had a 5 year old female who was being turned over to them because the owner no longer wanted her (????!?!?!?!???)....so we drove up there and adopted her. We took JB along so they could see how wonderful he is and what a success story he turned out to be.
Bio:
She was gotten as a pup....and the woman who she belonged to passed away in 06....the husband kept Katie (now Kady)...but moved her to outside instead of inside...it is obvious she was fed because she is OVERWEIGHT.....and we will try and slowly take off about 15 lbs or more. She is a sweet girl who is happy to be living inside the house now. Update...as of Mid Feb....she has settled into our routine...plays constantly with the other dogs....loves to roll around on the floor with JB....they are best buds...Update: June 2010....we have taken off alot of weight from Kady and removed tons and tons of undercoat and she is a different dog. I think she feels better and we know she looks better. She has settled in nicely with the other three dogs and is our little sweetheart. Another thumbs up for rescue dogs!!!Update June 25, 2012....Kady was put to sleep today....cancerous tumor....so very, very sad. We will miss her soooo much....

Hello there everyone....welllllll, I am liking things around here alot now that Spring is here....weather has warmed up and not so darn cold. I have settled into my new home and enjoy my buddies......especially JB who is my constant wrestling companion. Mom got me some new bouncy tennis balls and we love to play outside chasing balls all over the front yard. The crazy cats who live here kind of drive me nuts....they are worse than dogs...they boss me around and kind of scare me sometimes with their bossiness. I have fine tuned my housetraining and have gotten the hang of going downstairs and out the dog door all by myself which is pretty good. The wild turkeys have live on our property are pretty interesting.....I really want to chase a couple of them but Mom won't let me.....I DO like to run at the fence when they are near just to scare the beJesus out of them......love that!!! They gobble and make crazy noises and I think that is pretty cool.....am going to get my hair done in the next week and see if we can get some of this undercoat out of me now that the weather is warming....Happy Spring everyone!!

Ok...well, I lived with some people (one of my owners died) and then I was sent outside to live (in really, really cold country) and I would rather have been in a warm house...they fed me and got me my shots but don't think I was really taken care of or taught anything that I should have been. So I got turned into the Companion Golden Retriever Rescue of Salt Lake....and I immediately got a new home!!! These nice people came to Salt Lake on Jan 8, 2010 and brought another golden with them named Jordan whom they adopted last year at this time. I rode home with them and met my two other brothers, Blake, a golden also and Remy who is a Vizsla. I am kinda bossy and take their toys and push my way around but I am already learning that these people aren't going to put up with me thinking I am top dog....they told me I have to learn the rules and I have to share....but this is a pretty cool home cause I have my own bed, my own dish, and lots of room to run and play AND I get to be in the house instead of out in the cold weather....plus there are wild turkeys all over the property that I think are pretty neat so I am thinking my life has changed for the better! YAY!!
