Arrival Story:
I have always wanted to be a pug owner...like FOREVER. I got a call from a friend one morning just this last spring asking me if I would be interested in a pug for a very low price. They were going on vacation the next day to Florida and had two pug puppies left that they absolutely needed to get rid of that day..one boy and one girl. My friend said she was going to take the girl and was wondering if I wanted the boy. Although I have to admit I kind of wanted the girl....I said yes immediately..a pug..I was going to get a pug!!!! As soon as my son got home from school we left to go get Toby. We were both worried about what Dad would say but a pug...WE HAD A PUG!!!! So...then my husband comes home the next day (I had told him on the phone on his drive home to ease the transition a little bit) and sees the pug. Yeah...he wasn't so happy. He kind of ignored him for the first few days...really wanted to rub it in that I was not supposed to do something like that without his knowing. The potty training issue did not help matters...but...to make a long story short. About one month and almost no accidents later....Toby jumps up on his lap...My husband looks at Toby and says...."I love you. I never thought I would, but I do. I love you!!!" So yeah...its a happy ending!!! Oh...yeah....and I am glad I got the boy!!!! Gotta love those pugs!!!!!
