When I moved back to Birmingham, my husband and I decided to add another Basset to our Basset Brigade. We found Baxter posted on the Al Basset Rescue listing and we fell in love with him. We went out to see him and he was so friendly and a happy dog. Sargie went with us, with him being the more compliant dog, we thought that if Baxter and Sargie got along well, we would be ok. They got along great, so we brought Baxter home. Worked out great for the boys, we made a good choice for our Basset family. Bullet loves him, they are best buds. Harley and Sargie love to make him run.
Bio:
Baxter is a cuddle dog. Baxter is also a street wise dog ( he thinks), being out on his own at a young age, he learned how to survive. He loves to upset the other dogs. He will sit on the steps with the boys and suddenly he will run down the steps to the other side of the fence barking, he's really after something. The othr boys will following barking and howling, then Baxter will turn around and walk away, with this look of "I fooled you again". Leaving the other boys barking at nothing. He is a real character.
