Rest in Peace Jaxey. You can rest under the Mulberry tree and listen to the birds sing their songs from morning until night. You are greatly missed.
Jax came from a very bad place. There was a lady that had a bunch of puppies from unplanned litters. She didn't take care of them properly. She said she bred champion German Shepherds and 2 of her females got caught by the neighbors Golden Retriever. Word got out and a bunch of us went to her house, and adopted all the pups. We chose Jax. She was about 4 months old at the time and was not used to any human contact. She was covered in filth. It appeared that the pen, they were in, had never been cleaned. I think they threw their food over the fence. She was scared of everything, grass, trees, rocks, us and even our other dog. She was afraid of walking in the park and the woods. She didn't like people at all. She was terrified. But, with lots of work, and time, she's pretty well adjusted, given the start she had. Now, I can't pry her butt out of the car if she thinks she might go to the park. It's great! She is about 90% friendly with people now. She just has to make sure you are ok first. We were not exactly sure when her birthday was, so we picked July 25th.

Jax might be a mutt, but she's very smart. She's a great dog. I'm glad we chose her. She's my buddy/shadow.
As of 11:40am, on May 30, 2012 Jaxey went over Rainbow Bridge. She will be greatly missed. :(
