Arrival Story:
I was rescued for the local animal shelter. My previous owners couldn't keep me because my dad was in the army and they had been told that they were moving over seas. *sight* They couldn't take me with them cause it was just to expensive to have me shipped over there. So they decided that it would be better for me to go to a shelter where I could have the opportunity to find a good home. Peanut butter lost his life just before Thanksgiving in 2008. He escaped while he was being watched by a friend and, was struck by a car. Although he is gone from us his scrappy spirit stay's in our hearts and minds for ever. That's where I met me mama. She was just there looking around not intending to get a dog that day. They already had one dog, althought he was just a pup at six months old they didn't want him to be the only dog. She was just trying to get an idea of what was available and more so what would be a good match for the pup Hans. Well it just so happend that one of the kennel attendants was bringing me back in from the out doors when I saw her standing there with her daughter looking at some of the small dogs on the other end of the kennel. I was bound and determined that I wasn't gonna spend on more night in a cage. I wanted a family and I was gonna get me one. So when the attendant tried to put me back in my cage I put all four of my paws against the sides and pushed as hard as I could against her. This made her back up so I could me feet back on the floor again. As soon as she backed up and my feet hit the floor, I yanked the leash right of her hand and raced towards the lady at the end of the kennels. I zoomed around her and sat right in front of her. I could see the attendant coming for me so I jumped up and down beating my front paws on the lady's legs until she picked me up. Let me tell you they were very surprised to see me. The lady just looked at me and then at her daughter, who was laughing at my so called antics. The girl rubbed my head and said "look's like you got your self a dog rather you want one or not!" The woman looked from her daughter to me with an unsure expression on her face. The attendant was standing there with her hands on her hips just looking at the three of us. I of course had a really huge smile on my face. The woman just looked at me while in hard debate as to what she should. On the one hand she was looking for a playmate for her other pup, on the other hand she hadn't expected to find him just like that. In the end after several tenuious minutes of debating not only with her self and her daughter but with the staff at the shelter as well. They wanted 180$ for me but, mom being the frugal person that she is said that - that was just way to much and that she could go to a breeder and spend a few $$ more and get one. So the staff put their heads together and told mom that she could take me home for the low price of 85$. Mom thought that was a great deal so she whipped out her check book and did the deed. An hour or so later we were on our way HOME!. Some times you just gotta make things happen.

As you can tell I wasn't camera shy at all. I did all sorts of things when it came to having my picture took. I would smile, turn my head in different directions and come up wif all sorts of different way's to pose. I liked having my picture took especially wif my best pup pal Hans.

Now we both live at Rainbow Bridge *sigh* although we can do all sorts of things up here the one thing that we can't do is have our pictures took. *hangs head down, shaking it from side to side*

I was mom's first min pin and we had such great times together I hope that she and Baron will have many fun and great times together too.
