Arrival Story:
Grand Avenue ACS in Chicago. My first dog.We waited in line after the shelter's "post-christmas pet dump" on January 9. Ex hubby picked her out. Nine weeks old, spayed a week prior, she was too scared to come out of the cage and the volunteer had to scoop her out. I pulled a chew toy outta my pocket at the shelter and she said, Take me Home, sista. Really, she mouthed the words. Or maybe it was , Im gonna destroy your 1918 Oak windowsill in the kitchen and break your heart when Im sick on the bathroom garbage.

Bio:
You can say is mutt is part anything, and so for fun, I listed her as Belgian Malinois on the insistence of a local policeman, but I could have said part ridgeback. People are always pulling over on busy streets to tell me about ridgebacks they love, which depending on my mood, may result in my inquiring why they are telling me this. The Malinois comment was similar. I thought I was going to be arrested, but the cop was so excited about seeing a Belgian shepard that he just pulled in my driveway. Ok! we all show doglove in different obsessive ways. If you read this far, what are you procrastinating on????
