Another Birthday

I just added the new picture Mom took of my on my birthday. Usually we take pictures outside, but it has been raining for a week or more and my birthday was wet. No, didn't want to pose in the rain, thank you very much!

My big sister, Laurel, is having a birthday today. I'm hoping that means more ice cream. Laurel is 11 today. She is a good big sister.

Mom has moved into the front room and is busy on her new computer. But she lets some of us go with her so that's okay. She says we are the good ones. The old ladies stay in the family room, away from the nice carpet! And my favorite bed is in this room now - my Mom loves me!

Life is good. Mom is home, I'm the only boy dog in the house, the food is great, there may be ice cream sometime today. Life doesn't get much better than this!

Weekend at Home

Yawn! Excuse me! I am soooo tired. The Other is gone! Yay! And it's just too cool how he left! Mom was gone all last weekend with him, taking him out to the rescue stuff she does.

Then Sunday, Mom came home without him! Wow. Then a nice lady I've met at dog shows, Miss S., came and brought him home. Okay, he went on a play date - I can understand that. At least he was tired when she brought him home.

Then Friday Miss S. came again and took him again! Mom says as long as he's a good boy and plays nice with Miss S.'s doggies, he will have a home! And it will be a great home for an energetic dog like Danny - Miss S. trains her dogs and does agility and rally with them. She has a couple of shelties and an old lady cocker spaniel, so Danny will have other dogs to play with. And she's a nice lady - one of the few people I will allow to take my leash and walk me away from my Mom.

We were all so tired we slept all day yesterday. Mom got us up about 7:30 to send us outside. We don't have any plans today - I think we will sleep all day today!

Good for Danny. And good for me - I don't have to share him with my Mom any more!

Things Calming Down Again...

Yesterday the Other (Danny) was gone with Mom for a couple hours. He was tired when they got home.

He (Danny) was the Dogster Diary of the Day. I don't mind that he was so popular - I just hope it helps him find his own home and then I can have my Mom back again. Once he's gone, I get more Mommy Time.

But Mom says there's always another dog down on their luck needing a place to stay until they find their Furever Home. I know I'm lucky to have my Furever Home. And my Mom loves me, so I guess I can share her with these other dogs if I have to. (But I wish Mom would bring home some cute girl dogs instead of the big boy dogs. Sigh.)
