Dogster Diary Pick of the Day!!

Wow! I was picked as the diary of the day. That's such an honor. I love Dogster. My foster Mom posts her foster dogs so people who are looking for a furry friend can see us. It's a wonderful way for people to get to know rescued pets and what they like and want from life. Thank you Dogster.

I have moved on to my new furever home now. They love me very much here and I love them back. :-) My foster parents talk to my new family often to make sure all is well in my home. My foster mommy laughs at my family and tells them I don't need my short little legs anymore because my Daddy carries me everywhere I want to go. Oh yes! Life is very good.

Lola has left the building...

We delivered Lola to her new home today. This is a wonderful home. They have not had a pet in over 5 yrs so I hope they can get back into having one. Lola is a good girl and I expect it to work out for them. I gave her a kiss and told her we love her. I told her that if she is not happy we will come get her. I told her it was our pleasure to help her find her new life. I know she understood. She licked my chin. :-)

I'm going on a trip!

Mom says I am going on a trip tomorrow morning. I'm going to the vet. I'm getting spayed! Mom is all excited for me so I know this is a real fun thing to do. Anyway I'm going tomorrow morning. Mom says I will never have puppies after that. I didn't want to have puppies anyway. I want to be the baby. I like being the baby. I'm going to a furever home that will spoil me and treat me like a Princess. I am so excited. I am ready.

Almost time.

Mom said it's almost time. Hummmmm she said I am getting spayed and then I will go to my new home. Mom said I am going to be so very happy. I did like my new house. It's Preeeety. Lots of light and shiney clean and nice comfy furniture to sleep on. My new people love to hold me. They are going to be such fun. There is a real nice doggie next year. She's going to be my friend. I have a nice yard there too. Life is going to be so wonderful. I will be the only dog and I will get allllll the attention from my people. :-)

I'm doing good!

I am almost finished my heat cycle. I feel good and Mom says I am fine. I am eating a lot and look good. Mom says I have to get spayed pretty soon and then I can go to me new home. I'm ready. I like my new people. They are going to be good to me.

I have a home!

My foster mommy said she has chosen a home for me. With the OK from the PAAW, I will be going to live with my new family in a few weeks. They are just retired and have a nice home and fenced in yard for me. They are installing a pet door for me so I can go in and out as I choose. YEAH! I don't have to ask to go out or wait for a human to take me. hehehe That is awesome. I like the pet door here in my foster home. My new parents are home a lot and I will not be left alone all day because of work. I am going to sleep wit them and have a special blankie on the couch if I want to be up there. I have a bed of my own too in case I want to sleep alone. :-) I will have kids to play with when they come to visit and there is a doggie next door that I can talk to through the fence and my people will take us walking together. I am a lucky girl. Now all I have to do is finish my heat cycle, be spayed and pack up my coat, crate and toys and move into my new home. Lifa Is Good!

I think I'll be Ok.

I am feeling at home now. My mommy and daddy are very nice to me. Mommy says I am beautiful and perfect. She feeds me well and I have a nice warm bed. My new friends are nice here. I'm not real good friends with anyone special one yet. I like Heidi.

I went in the car.

Mom and Dad took me with them to visit family. I had a nice day but I am tired after the long ride. I met a new friend. His name is Jaxon. He is nice. I gotta go take a nap.

I don't understand.

I was living with my mom and dad and my best friend Charlie. I am almost 3 yrs old and I have never had anther home. Charlie is a Dachshund too and he's my friend, my big brother. Dad and mom got a little tiny human, a baby! It's real cute and Charlie and I like it. Even when it cried we didn't mind. One day dad started putting things in a bag and he and mom talked a lot. I heard him tell mom he is going to miss her and the baby. He said he is going to Iraq with his military unit. He said he had to find a place for Cahrlie and me because she is going to go to her parents and we can't go. I didn't know what to do. Then one night a man and lady came and took me from my home. I was so scared. I shook inside and out. I saw real fast that they would be very nice to me. They take good care of me and my foster mom even let me sleep with her in the people bed last night. I loved that. I cuddled with her all night long. I like it here. I know I won't be here very long. Mommie said I am going to have a furever home one day and then I will live there the rest of my life. For now I am safe and happy. I hope my dad is going to be safe and my mom and baby too. Today was Christmas. I said a prayer for my dad and all the humans who have to go to war and those they have to leave behind.
