Arrival Story:
This dog is my HEART. I spend all my money on her... I just love her so much... she makes me smile when everyone and everything else fails. I got her in April 2004 after having some serious health problems... she helped to bring me out of myself as she gave me something to concentrate on and focus on in a positive way.

Bio:
Millie is a special-needs dog. She has a retinal detachment and juvenile cataract in her right eye and PRA (Progressive Retinal Atrophy) in her left eye. The PRA is a new diagnosis and as there is no treatment it means she will eventually become fully blind. Even so, she rules the roost along with Mr Pips the cat. She likes to dress up and act a smarty pants. She has learnt lots of tricks and particularly likes finding items that I have hidden for her, which helps her to develop her 'nose'. She does like to go for walks and is also keen on swimming! She sleeps every night with me... which is naughty but comforting to me and her I think as she does not like the dark.
