Denny Creek Hike

Today Vivian took me hiking with her friend Gaylin and a little boy named, Martin. It was drizzling but we still made it. The scenery on our drive was amazing. I was so excited when I saw the forest. I couldn't wait to take off. Martin led me for the first half an hour. I pulled him really hard because I was so anxious to see everything. Then, we saw a red hair Chow-Golden Retriever Mix off leash so Vivian decided to set me free, too. I followed the red head and her owners to the creek. The rocks were so smooth and I jumped from one rock to another and even went swimming a little bit in the creek. The water tasted cold but delicious.

We hiked 2 miles up and then 2 miles down. On the way down, Martin put a bit of treat along the way so I would follow him. I jumped, ran, went zip/zap and around the circle. I had so much fun!!!!!

We went home and I was completely exhausted. I have never slept so good!

Snow Lake Hike

We went on a 6 mile hike on Snow Lake, Wa last weekend. I was surprised we even went. Lately, we've just been at home near a computer. Totally bored :( I'm glad we went though. It took us close to 4 hours. We went with Isabell, Jyoti and other friends from Microsoft. It was sooooo beautiful. I even got close to the edge on some rocks and hung on my pawtips as I scaled a rock. Gosh that was close. Whew!

When we got back to the cabin we barbecued bleu cheeseburgers, but the smoke bothered me. We had pulled pork sandwhiches and fruit salad. I picked a few off the ground when they fell.

Got home around 8pm and I slept soundly... thanks, Uly

Hi Everyone,

Just a few months ago, I was a diary pick of the day and now today, I've been picked as THE Diary of the Day. Wow! I'm just so honored and privileged. I don't know what could be a better thing to start off my Fourth of July weekend besides fireworks.

Even then, the fireworks wouldn't compare.... this is just so great. I love Dogster!

Love,

The never ending walk

Today was a wonderful day with Seattle hitting past 70 degrees for the first time in a long time. Say 272 days! Yes, 272 day of not having any hot weather...it's summer for goodness sake :) Other parts of the country are already using their air conditioning.

Well to my point of this blog is that I got to lead my walk today and it seemed to last longer than what we usually do --- about two hours. There really was no rush to get home. We walked down Westlake avenue and around the tip of South Lake Union. Then we sat for a few minutes while my owner talked to someone on the phone.

In the end, it was pleasant and I wish to do it again tomorrow :)

Gem

I met a new friend at the dog park. Her name is Gem. She's a ball hound like me, but super obsessed. In fact, my owner had just bought a cup of coffee in which he held in the same hand as the ball. Gen not only got the ball, but knocked down my owner's coffee, spilling some of it on me. I looked away as if to appear innocent, but my owner saw me laughing...which I was :)

Until next time...bark!

It came off

A few weeks ago I broke my nail at the park. The nail didn't break off completely and I couldn't bear to let anyone touch it, even my owner. It broke off close to the nub of my paw and while it hurt for few days it didn't prevent me from begging to go out. When we did, I tried to jump hard on it to break it off, but the darnedest thing wouldn't. Well, today after all of my efforts, it came off! Yeah!

I can now play at the park again.

see you at the park.

"The terror on 175th street" (a soon to be made-for-tv- movie)

Excited to go out, I get in my owner's car. "Dumb me," I think. It's raining out and guess where we drive to, but to Lily's house, a 4.5 pound Chihuahua. For the life of me, I don't know why she attacks me repeatedly when I, as a 50 pound pitbull mix, can easily beat the living daylights out of her. Out of respect for my owner's friendship with Lily's mom, I don't.

"I'm such a good dog," I tell myself....and my owner keeps telling me that I am.

Until next time, I can't wait to go home.

2x's a day

I finally found a way to get to the park 2x's a day. Wanna know how?

I follow my owner everywhere he goes. When he goes to the second floor of our house, I go. When he goes to the first floor, I go. When he goes to the garage, I go. And when he goes back upstairs, I go.

He asks me, "What do you want to do? Do you have to go out?" I wag my tail and then he gets the signal... I gotta go to the park.

So if you are reading this and want a way to get your way, I found it.

(Shhhh...don't tell my owner my secret.)

Unbelievable, I'm a dogster daily diary pick! I'm overcome with excitement that my tail is wagging back and forth. I've got to go to the park to get my energy out. Luther Burbank is where I hang out. I am going to tell my friends and eh, just everyone! Yeah!

What am I going to do next?

Playing with Bunker

I'm spending some time with my friends Bunker and Petey this weekend. We all went to Magnuson Beach, even Petey. Petey has a weak leg though and stayed on his leash. Bunker and I, on the other hand, couldn't get enough of the park and ran, and ran, and ran --- all over the park. The sun was out and so were the other dogs. I am surprised that I or Bunker didn't have an incident with another dog as sometimes that's the case. Luck would have it though that we couldn't stay the day and had to go home.

Sigh... I'm tired now and will save my other stories for another day.

Thanks for reading,

Uly
