Arrival Story:
I found Cody on Craigslist. His former owner was a "breeder" that was getting rid of all of her basenjis, and she was giving the adults away for free. I did my research on the breed and fell in love with both the good and not-so-good qualities. I called his owner and was able to pick him up that weekend. I was in for a surprise. He had never been inside a house and had never been trained in any way. He was nothing like what I expected: he had been neglected and abused. He was dirty, skinny, and stinky, but the moment he looked up at me with his sad, scared, beautiful, liquid gold eyes, I was in love. I knew that at that moment, I was his. I can't imagine life without my little bed-hog.

Bio:
I am 100% certain that if Cody had an opposable thumb, he would take over the world. Sometimes when he is so deep in thought that his forehead is extra wrinkly, I know that he is plotting world domination.
